The YATO YT-730933 is a universal clamp meter featuring TRUE RMS functionality, capable of automatic and manual ranging. It allows both basic and advanced electrical quantity measurements to be taken seamlessly. With its clamp design, it can measure both DC and AC current ranging from 10 mA to 1000 A, all without the need to disconnect the circuit or the power source. This meter enables the measurement of higher currents compared to conventional electric meters. The probe cables are insulated with silicone, making them flexible and resistant to high temperatures.

Measurement Accuracy:

For example, the accuracy determination for AC current measurements at a calculated result of 30 A is:

• The measurement accuracy of the YATO YT-730933 meter for this range is: ±(2.5% + 10), with a resolution of 0.01 A
• Formula for calculating measurement error: (measurement result x 2%) + 30 x resolution
• Calculations: (30 x 2.5%) + 10 x 0.01 = 0.75 + 0.1 = 0.85 A

The actual measurement result including error for a 30 A indication = 30 ± 0.85 A.

• The result including measurement error for the AC voltage measurement indication: 235 V = 235 ± 2.85 V
• The result including measurement error for the DC voltage measurement indication: 12 V = 12 ± 0.146 V

Built-in Functions:

• TRUE RMS - This function displays the true RMS value of AC voltage or current. Unlike averaging meters, devices with TRUE RMS can show the correct value for not only sinusoidal waveforms but also for non-linear waveforms distorted by harmonics or shapes such as square or triangular waves. It is essential in circuits involving switch-mode power supplies, motor drives, HVAC installations, etc.
• NCV - Non-contact AC voltage detection using an inductive method. The meter detects voltage presence in insulated wires and can indicate the phase wire.
• LINE - Contact AC voltage detection, functioning as a traditional voltage sampler. When the probe is inserted into a socket, if a phase is present, four dashes will appear on the display, the signal LED will light up and an intermittent beep will sound.
• AUTO - Automatic measurement range adjustment. With this function, the multimeter can automatically determine the best range for measurement. The meter begins in AUTO mode by default.
• RAN - Manual range adjustment.
• DATA HOLD - Keeps the currently measured value displayed.
• INR - Measures inrush current using measuring clamps, detecting current 80 ms after device startup.

Warning!

Current measurements with clamp meters are performed only on a single conductor. Clamping around a multi-conductor cable without isolating one wire will result in incorrect readings or zero current flow.
