The VOREL HVLP Spray Gun 80902 is designed for performing paint work effectively. This tool utilizes compressed air to mix paint and air, ensuring an even coverage when applied through the nozzle.
Getting Started
Begin by tightening the nozzle with a wrench. Ensure the connections in the compressed air supply system are secure and leak-free. Blow out the supply hose with air before connecting it. Prior to usage, check that the gun has been thoroughly cleaned and maintained, and confirm that the coating material tank is properly sealed.
Adjusting Spray Width
You can modify the width and shape of the spray stream by rotating the air nozzle. The spray jet shape can be adjusted from flat to round as required. The coating material quantity adjustment knob regulates the amount of coating material supplied to the airflow, while the spray adjustment knob controls the intensity of the mixture of coating material and air. It is advisable to set the mixture for finer particles of coating material for better surface distribution.
Using the Gun
When applying with the spray gun, maintain a distance of 10 to 15 cm between the nozzle and the surface. Aim to keep the gun outlet perpendicular to the surface, and avoid arcing movements, as these can lead to uneven coverage. Applying several thin coats is preferred over a single thick coat for optimal results.
Airflow Adjustment
Adjust the air pressure according to the type of coating material using the air pressure adjustment knob.
Replacing the Nozzle
Ensure to replace the complete nozzle set, which includes the coating material nozzle, needle, and air nozzle.
Checking the Needle Seal
Regularly check the needle seal for tightness during operation. Replace the seal if it shows significant wear during periodic inspections using a wrench to remove the seal assembly.
Cleaning and Maintenance
After use, disconnect the gun from the compressed air system and thoroughly clean the tool tank from residual coating material. Clean the entire transfer path of the coating material, as inadequate cleaning can diminish performance. Use a brush and solvent to clean the air nozzle, but do not submerge the entire gun in the solvent or use hard objects to unclog orifices, as this may damage the internal structure. After cleaning, apply a small amount of lubricant to the moving parts of the seals. Ensure the nozzle is tightened enough to prevent leaks while allowing smooth needle movement.
