  • Measuring range: 0 - 25 mm
  • Resolution: 0.001 mm / 0.00005 inches
  • Accuracy: ±0.002 mm / ±0.0001 inch
  • Measuring force: 5 - 10 N
  • Display: Liquid crystal LCD display
  • Current consumption: ≤ 35 μA
  • Power supply: one 1.55V silver battery, type SR44
  • Operating temperature: 5°C - 40°C / 41°F - 104°F
  • Storage temperature: -20°C - 60°C / -4°F ÷ 140°F
  • Humidity effects: Negligible below 80% relative humidity
  • Designed for precise measurements and easy reading from 0 to 25 mm

Preparation for Operation:

  • Clean the measuring surfaces and the guide with a cotton cloth. Avoid using solvents or acids.
  • Check the zero position by bringing the measuring surfaces into contact using the friction clutch knob. Then, press and hold the ON/OFF—SET button for about 2 seconds until the indication is zeroed.
  • Ensure all buttons, switches, and the display are functioning properly.

Basic Measurement Methods:

  1. Absolute Measurement
  • Loosen the locking clamp.
  • Turn on the device by pressing the "ON" button.
  • Select the measurement unit by pressing and holding the "ABS/INC—UNIT" button for about 2 seconds.
  • The measurement result alternates between inches and millimeters on the display.
  • Inches are indicated by the "in" symbol on the display.
  • Press the "ABS/INC—UNIT" button until the "ABS" symbol appears.
  • Spread the measuring surfaces slightly wider than the object.
  • Adjust the stylus knob and tighten with the friction clutch knob until it engages.
  • Read the measurement from the display.
  1. Relative Measurement
  • The method is similar to absolute measurement but is used to compare two dimensions.
  • Pressing the "ABS/INC—UNIT" button resets the indication to zero, showing the "INC" symbol.
  • The difference in dimensions can be read after measuring again.

The micrometer features a steel ball in a rubber mount for measuring parts with small surfaces. After attachment, the indication should be zeroed as described above.

Note: It is recommended to mount the measured element of the micrometer before starting measurement to achieve the highest accuracy. Multiple measurements are also recommended to obtain an arithmetic average of the results.
