The YATO YT-2340 spray gun is designed for efficient paint application. It utilizes compressed air to create a fine mist of paint, ensuring even coverage on various surfaces.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Getting started
Begin by tightening the nozzle with a wrench. Check for leaks and ensure all compressed air supply connections are secure. Flush the supply hose with air before connecting it to the system. Ensure that the spray gun is clean and well-maintained prior to use, and confirm the coating material tank is properly sealed.
Adjusting the spray jet width
To change the width and shape of the spray jet, rotate the air nozzle. The spray shape can be effortlessly adjusted from flat to round as needed. The coating material adjustment knob determines the amount of material delivered in the air stream, while the spray adjustment knob sets the intensity of the spray mixture. For the best results, adjust the mixture for the smallest possible paint particles, allowing for superior distribution on the surface.
Using the spray gun
Maintain a distance of 10 to 15 cm between the gun outlet and the surface being painted. Keep the gun perpendicular to the surface and avoid any curved movements to ensure even application. It is preferable to apply multiple thin layers rather than one thick layer.
Adjusting air flow
Depending on the coating material's properties, adjust the amount of compressed air using the air pressure control knob.
Changing the nozzle
Replace the entire nozzle set, which includes the coating material nozzle, needle, and air nozzle, as needed.
Checking the needle seal
Regularly check the tightness of the firing pin seal. If worn, replace the seal during routine inspections with a wrench.
Cleaning and maintenance
After use, disconnect the spray gun from the compressed air supply and empty any remaining coating material from the tool tank. Thoroughly clean the tank and all parts to prevent performance issues. Clean the air nozzle with a brush dipped in a solvent but avoid immersing the gun in solvent. Do not use hard objects to unclog orifices as this may damage internal components. After cleaning, apply a small amount of lubricant to the moving parts. Ensure the coating material nozzle is tightened to prevent leaks while allowing smooth needle movement.
