The BROWIN 770615 4.5 L glazed Roman pot is a versatile piece of cookware that combines the benefits of traditional Roman pots made from natural clay with the convenience of modern, coated cookware. This pot is ideal for preparing delicious meat, vegetables, pastries, bread, and much more, while also serving as a great storage solution for bread.
This Roman pot with an enamelled interior and non-glazed cover combines the advantages of a natural clay pot and modern cookware. It is great for preparing a variety of dishes and storing bread.
For baking, use fat or oil, though some dishes can be made without fat, using just a bit of water to maintain humidity within the covered pot. We recommend soaking the clay pot before first use, as the water vapors released during cooking will help ensure juiciness. There is no need to soak the pot itself, as it is enamelled. The ceramic enamel prevents food aromas from penetrating the pot walls, making it ideal for more aromatic dishes since these will only penetrate the non-glazed lid. The pot's corrugated bottom helps prevent food from sticking excessively, and its glazing makes cleaning easy. The pot also features an attractive antique geometric ornamentation decorating the lid.
Please note! This cookware must not be subjected to sudden temperature changes; avoid pouring cold liquid into a heated pot. It can withstand oven temperatures of up to 250°C. The entire pot becomes very hot, so be sure to use protective gloves when handling it. After removing it from the oven, place the pot on a wooden stand or kitchen cloth.
Cleaning and storage: For cleaning, we recommend washing the enamelled interior manually with dishwashing liquid. Do not use dishwashing liquid on the clay parts; clean them only with hot water, and for stubborn stains, use kitchen salt with a sponge or brush. Store the pot with its lid turned upside down, preferably with a paper towel in between to allow air circulation inside the pot.
