The BROWIN 20 L demijohn with a wide neck, model code 644120, is designed for home winemaking and fermentation. This durable glass demijohn, encased in a sturdy plastic basket, is perfect for storing and fermenting your beverages.
How to use: Glass should not be subjected to sudden temperature shocks, as excessive differences in temperature might lead to damage. Before use, it is recommended to store the demijohn at room temperature for at least one hour. Avoid pouring water above 50°C onto the demijohn. It is best to wash the glass in lukewarm water with the addition of disinfecting agents such as potassium metabisulphite or Oxi Turbo. Due to high stresses occurring during turbulent fermentation, it is advisable to close the demijohn with a loosely fitted cotton swab during that time, which helps prevent cracking of the glass.
