This 5 L carboy is suitable for fermenting wine, beer, mead, and for storing ready-made alcohol or juices. It is made of glass that meets all necessary certifications for contact with food containing alcohol, although it is not heat-resistant. The handle at the neck of the carboy facilitates pouring liquids into glasses. The base of the carboy is secured by a removable plastic basket, and a plastic screw cap is included.
Usage Instructions:
Avoid exposing the glass to excessive heat, as significant temperature fluctuations could cause damage. It is advisable to clean the glass with lukewarm water and disinfectants, such as potassium metabisulfite or Oxi Turbo.
Due to the high tensions that occur during turbulent fermentation, it is recommended to seal the carboy with a less leak-proof cotton spigot to prevent potential glass breakage.
