A glass filtration column is a device used for purifying and enhancing the flavor and aroma of potable water and liquor. The essential component for this process is activated carbon, which effectively absorbs various unwanted impurities and odors. This product, the BROWIN model 405541, comes as a complete set that includes an alcohol meter with a safe plastic test tube, a 1.6 m silicon hose, and a pack of activated coconut charcoal (460 g).
The filtration column is made of durable and strong technical glass, providing better resistance to damage compared to traditional materials. It features a stable foot for secure placement on a flat surface and can hold 350 mL of activated carbon. Included in the set is an alcohol meter with a plastic test tube for accurate measurement of alcohol content in colorless liquor that does not contain sugar, measuring between 0% to 95% alcohol content. The 2-meter flexible silicon hose has a diameter of 7/9 mm and is heat-resistant, maintaining elasticity between -55 to +180°C. The hose can be easily cut to create two hoses for inflow and outflow. Additionally, the package includes activated coconut charcoal (460 g), an efficient absorbent that harmonizes the flavor and aroma of water and spirits.
Column specifications:
NOTE! For optimal results, it is recommended to cool the liquid to about 10 °C before filtration. For the best filtration experience, maintain a continuous flow rate of about 1 L per hour, ensuring that the liquid passes through the carbon from the bottom upwards, enhancing the filter bed’s efficiency. To prevent any potential contamination from the carbon into the filtered liquid, place the output hose on a funnel lined with a paper towel or use a steel scourer to block the column at the outlet stub pipe after adding the charcoal.
How to use:
To avoid contamination, place the output hose on a funnel lined with a paper towel.
Every country has its own legal regulations regarding the manufacture and distribution of ethyl alcohol, wine products, and spirits.
