Turbo Whiskey distiller's yeast, 23 g by BROWIN, is an active yeast with exceptional temperature tolerance, ideal for fermenting sugar and fruit products.
This powerful blend of distillery yeast and fermentation mediums allows you to create a characteristic homemade whiskey flavor. To use, sprinkle the contents of the sachet over a mash of approximately 4.5 kg of grain and 15-18 liters of water that has been hydrolyzed with alpha-amylase (BROWIN 405120) and cooled to room temperature. Mix thoroughly after 15 minutes, add around 2 kg of sugar, and ferment at a temperature of 20-28°C. After 3 to 5 days, an additional portion of sugar (approximately 1 to 1.5 kg) can be added to continue the fermentation process until the release of CO2 ceases. Once fermentation is complete, decant and distill twice, storing the distillates in a cool place away from direct sunlight. For enhanced aroma, consider adding oak chips.
