Fermivin PDM is a dried, universal wine yeast from the brand BROWIN, specifically the 400330 model, designed for making various types of wines and meads. This yeast, derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. bayanus, is suitable for both red and white wines, as well as sparkling varieties.
With its BAYANUS yeast capabilities, Fermivin PDM is perfectly suited for wines made from fruits such as gooseberry, pear, apricot, strawberry, and more. It has a minimal impact on the wine's aromatic profile, preserving the natural flavors of the ingredients.
This yeast is effective even under challenging fermentation conditions, making it an excellent choice for high sugar concentrations, excessive alcohol levels, or lower temperatures. It is also suitable for honey wort fermentation and can restart wine fermentations.
The extensive temperature range makes the Fermivin PDM ideal for cellars or spaces with cooler temperatures.
To use, mix the sachet content with 100 ml of boiled water cooled to 30°C and let it rest for 20 minutes at room temperature before adding it to your fermentation container.
For enhanced results, nutrients such as vitamin B1 and Kombi Vita are recommended.
