  • Also suitable for pot plants - This device is excellent for caring for potted plants indoors. Caution! Do not submerge the device in water or chemical solutions!
  • No batteries required! - The 2-in-1 soil tester does not require batteries, and readings are taken directly from the device's scale!

This soil tester provides simultaneous measurements of pH level and fertility, making it invaluable for cultivating various plant species. Its versatile design makes it compatible for use in allotment lots, gardens, greenhouses, balconies, and even indoors for potted plants. The device is user-friendly, with a probe that measures the content of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK) in the soil based on their individual proportions. As an analogue 2-in-1 soil tester, it’s always ready to use without battery dependency!

PH LEVEL MEASUREMENT

  • Prepare a soil sample (300-400 g) from multiple spots, removing stones, grass blades, roots, leaves, etc.
  • Pour the soil into a 0.5 L jar and add some water until the soil is moist.
  • Set the slider to measure pH levels. Carefully clean the meter end with rough paper or a brush and insert the probe into the prepared soil sample.
  • Read the value on the device scale after 60 seconds (from pH 3.5 – acidic to pH 8 – alkaline, where pH 7 is neutral).

SOIL FERTILITY MEASUREMENT

  • Prepare a soil sample (300-400 g) from multiple spots, removing stones, grass blades, roots, leaves, etc.
  • Pour the soil into a 0.5 L jar and add some water until the soil is moist.
  • Set the slider to measure soil fertility. Carefully clean the meter end with rough paper or a brush and insert the probe into the prepared soil sample.
  • Take the reading from the device scale after 5 seconds.
  • Once measurements are complete, turn off the device by returning the slider to the starting (middle) position. Store the device in a dry, shaded area.

Caution!

Included in the packaging is a detailed user manual.

  • Directly after measuring, wipe the tester sensor with a cloth or paper towel.
  • The tester is designed solely for measuring the pH level and fertility of soil (for both pot plants and garden plants).
  • Do not immerse the device in water or any chemical solutions.

Understanding the soil's pH value greatly aids in planning and maintaining optimal conditions for cultivated plants, leading to an increased yield. Knowledge of soil fertility also simplifies planning and assessing the need for fertilization. Different plants require varied soil conditions, thus the frequency of fertilization will differ.

ADJUSTMENT OF SOIL pH LEVEL

Adding sulfur decreases soil pH, while lime raises it. The required amounts depend on the soil type, so consult suitable gardening manuals for guidance. Small doses are used for lighter soils with low humus content, while higher doses are needed for fertile, humus-rich soils. The proper soil pH can be maintained using suitable fertilizers.
