So that you don't have to buy a complete new hammer or a new split wedge, the attachment is available as a spare part. Means the cells can be replaced as often as you like.
This Fiskars replacement attachment has a stable impact surface, is made of polymer and surrounded with a metal ring, WAS gives it more robustness. The impact surface absorbs vibrations, which arise when the hammer hits the wood. This damping results in fewer material splints and WAS increases the life of the attachment. The weight of this spare impact area is relatively low at 300 grams. The diameter of the entire strike area is 6.5 centimeters.
