The geocell stabilizes soil surfaces in backyard parking areas and paths. Prevents erosion on slopes and sagging pond banks. This material is used for strengthening bridge cones, road embankments, recultivating the slopes and embankments of quarries and waste dumps, strengthening the shores of natural and artificial reservoirs, retaining artificially filled soil on the slopes above the roof constructions
A geocell for strengthening slopes is one of the most optimal ways of strengthening the slope. Many people who encounter slopes notice that when it rains, the shape of the slope changes - the sliding process begins. The development of this process depends on many factors such as groundwater, rainwater, snow, human activities, wildlife, etc. These factors prevent the formation of a vegetative layer, which is one of the indicators of a strong slope. To maintain the shape of the slope, to stop the sliding process, a geocell is used to strengthen the slopes.
A geocell is a volumetric three-dimensional structure made of perforated tape that is fused together to form a honeycomb structure. The honeycomb cells are made of perforated high density polyethylene (HDPE) strips. The strips are joined by ultrasonic welding.
The geocell can be filled with soil and planted with plants or filled with stones before laying the geotextile, which prevents weeds from growing on the surface, broken stones are best because they hold together better than smoothed ones (gravel, river stones). Slope reinforcement with geocells helps to stabilize and strengthen the slope or embankment, is a pre-erosion protection because it is resistant to adverse weather conditions.
