Portable Battery Spot Welder 500A

The YATO Portable Battery Spot Welder 500A is designed for permanently bonding 18650 and similar cells using nickel-plated strips. This device features a user-friendly LCD display with intuitive menus and ten adjustable power levels. It is powered by two lithium-polymer batteries connected in parallel, capable of delivering a maximum instantaneous discharge current of up to 90 C, and it comes with 40 cm silicone-insulated copper cables (approximately 10 mm²) fitted with replaceable copper terminations.

With a maximum welding current of approximately 500 A, this device provides the actual average current value measured over a 100 ms period. While some manufacturers provide peak current values, achieving proper welds can be challenging with such metrics. The YATO Portable Spot Welder reliably produces quality welds using 8 mm wide, 0.20 mm thick and 8 mm wide, 0.15 mm thick nickel-plated tape.

This welder can be conveniently charged with a USB-C cable from any phone charger. Additionally, the USB-A output allows powering devices that require 5 V at a maximum current of 2 A.
