The YATO Heat Shrink Solder Sleeves YT-81443 are designed for creating durable and waterproof connections for electrical wires. Each sleeve features a center ring of tin and two rings of thermal glue, enhancing the seal of the connection.
This is a quick and easy solution for a reliable and waterproof electrical wire connection.
PE vs PVC and other differences:
The YATO heat shrink solder sleeves are made from polyethylene (PE), featuring the right amount of solder binder and hot glue rings. The advantages of PE sleeves over PVC include:
PE sleeves are not only suitable for home use but are also effective in environments where weather conditions, such as low temperatures, are a factor. They are ideal for high-temperature areas, such as in a car's engine compartment.
The use of a proper amount of solder binder in YATO brand solder sleeves ensures a secure and effective solder joint. The solder flows between the wires, creating a strong and reliable connection. Cheaper alternatives often use insufficient amounts of tin, which may not withstand long-term usage, especially in larger cross-sections.
Lastly, the sealing adhesive used in YATO sleeves is a specially formulated, well-known hot glue. Once cured, it retains a degree of elasticity and does not degrade over time. Some inexpensive products use EVA plastic that may seal the joint initially, but they degrade quickly in weather-exposed areas.
