3. To open the thermos, turn the top counterclockwise.
4. For better heat or cold retention, rinse the thermos with hot water before pouring hot beverages and with cold water before pouring cold beverages. Never use a microwave or oven to heat the thermos.
5. Better insulation is achieved when the thermos is filled with liquid. For instance, hot coffee can remain warm for about 20 hours under these conditions. The thermos should not be used to keep warm dairy products, baby food, or carbonated drinks.
6. Cleaning the thermos: For the outside, rinse with clean water, using a liquid cleaner if necessary. For the inside, rinse only with clean water. Tea and coffee residues can be easily removed using denture cleaner. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning. Never immerse the thermos completely in water.
